Student Activities/Clubs

Extra-curricular student activities and leadership opportunities include:

Environmental ClubEnvironmental Club
Students in 5th grade meet after school once a month to participate in activities such as: creating earth-friendly projects, learning about and promoting awareness of environmental issues, gardening, and bird-feeding! Students also run a booth at the Earth Day on the Greenway event on a Saturday in April.

GirlsOnTheRunGirls on the Run
Over a period of 10 weeks, girls in 3rd through 5th grade participate in an after-school program designed to allow every girl to recognize her inner strength, and inspire them to define their lives on their own terms. Throughout the season, the girls make new friends, build their confidence, and celebrate all that makes them unique. At the end of each program, the girls participate in a Girls on the Run, non-competitive, 5k event.

GoldenAppleNutrition Club
Students in 5th grade assist cafeteria staff before school with breakfast-in-the-classroom duties. These students also participate in testing new breakfast and lunch menu items and offer their feedback at various times through-out the school year.

Safety PatrolSafety Patrol
Students in 5th grade work closely with the Assistant Principal in making sure car-riders arrive safely to and from their classroom each day.

MusicNotesChoraleers and Recorders
Students in 3rd-5th grade have the opportunity to join the Riverview Choraleers. The group rehearses before school three days a week for winter and spring concerts at school and the for the community.

Students in 4th-5th grade can join the Riverview Recorders group which rehearses before school one day a week.
